Winning ways.
Paoli’s design excellence was recognized with three Gold ADEX Awards for Shoji and Omage seating and Fuse desk series.
ORLEANS, INDIANA, April 2008 — Paoli is the recipient of three 2008 Gold ADEX Awards for design excellence for the company’s Fuse casegoods collection and for both the Shoji and Omage seating series.
According to John Moses, publisher of the ADEX sponsoring publication Design Journal, this year’s competition was the most hotly contested in the last 13 years, with over 300 companies entering more than 1,200 products. Voting was conducted by an anonymous panel of professionals representing a cross section of the design industry.
“ADEX Awards honor the best product designs of the year in the opinion of specialists in each category, so we’re pleased with this recognition,” said Kent Robbins, vice president, marketing for Paoli. “The designers that we choose to work with consistently produce products that both address critical marketplace needs and stylishly lead with design innovation.”
The higher-profile Fuse Casegoods collection was designed by Daniel Grabowski of G2 Product Development to offer a custom cabinetry look along with abundant storage options and easy-access wiring provisions that facilitate a clutter-free office space.
Marcy King, Marcy King Designs, created Shoiji seating with a contemporary Eastern flair that harmonizes with natural materials like bamboo and rattan. The option-rich mesh and upholstery Omage seating group by Bill Raftery, Raftery Design, Inc. offers executive-level seating with support and comfort for a diverse work force.
ADEX is the largest awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade. Design Journal, the international trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers sponsors the ADEX Awards.
